McGoughs and McGues in the 1880
|
The 1880 federal census lists the relationship of the persons living in the household to the head of the family. When this relationship is wife, son, or daughter, and the age and relative position of the family member indicates this relationship, I have not repeated the information. When the census indicates that the member is a brother, sister, nephew, niece, grandson, granddaughter, or similar relative, I indicate that relationship when the census lists it.
On this page, I have intermingled the black and white McGoughs. This contrasts with my treatment of the 1870 census where I have segregated the blacks and whites and created a separate page on African-American McGoughs.
